WHO WE ARE

Give a child a fish and you feed him for a day.

Teach a child to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Founded in 2009 in Chennai, India, Childlife is a non-profit organization that takes a bold and an effective approach to empowering underprivileged children by providing them access to quality education. Children access educational programs and services through our amazing Smart Schools that enable them to reach their full potential, stay safe, healthy and keep learning.

Childlife is at the forefront of several projects which make it possible for thousands of children to have a chance of getting the best start in life. We achieve this by combining the power of policy and innovative welfare initiatives to create change from the top-down and bottom-up.

Working with educators, policy makers, community centers and social change creators, we anticipate, target, and solve the complex barriers that keep children and young people from education and opportunity.
