Founded in 2009 in Chennai, India, Childlife is a non-profit organization that takes a bold and an effective approach to empowering underprivileged children by providing them access to quality education. Children access educational programs and services through our amazing Smart Schools that enable them to reach their full potential, stay safe, healthy and keep learning.
Childlife is at the forefront of several projects which make it possible for thousands of children to have a chance of getting the best start in life. We achieve this by combining the power of policy and innovative welfare initiatives to create change from the top-down and bottom-up.
Working with educators, policy makers, community centers and social change creators, we anticipate, target, and solve the complex barriers that keep children and young people from education and opportunity.
The trust is a registered body with 80G tax exemption of the Income Tax act of 1961.Shanthi Rajasekar is the CEO and Founder of Childlife. She is also President of the cycling association of Chingleput. And committee member in AICPIRF a body that is associated with PMs Nasha Mukth Abiyan which is a drive against drugs and Narcotics
Since its inception in 2009, Shanthi Rajasekar has grown Childlife into a reputable and impactful nonprofit organization dedicated to child education, community development, youth employment, and health awareness for disadvantaged communities. Under her leadership, Childlife has invested in innovative new programs and partnerships with private corporations and other nonprofits to increase its impact and achieve greater breakthroughs.
As a social entrepreneur and humanitarian, Shanthi Rajasekar’s philanthropic achievements have garnered recognition from a variety of prestigious organizations. Shanthi Rajasekar is a Rotarian and a member of the hospital management committee of TANUVAS (Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University) and Stree Seva Mandir.
